Ana Moura Santos is a Professor at the Department of Mathematics at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon, Portugal, and responsible for the development of much digital content now in use at Mathematics courses and others in IST. She received the MSc degree in Physics and Mathematics at Moscow State University (Russia, 1984) and obtained her Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematician in IST (1999). Besides her early research on Operator Theory and Functional Analysis, she is author of several papers on teaching and learning methodologies, in particular about the use of online educational resources (OER) for flipping the class. Among the OER one can find two hundred assessment exercises with random parameters for Linear Algebra, Vector Calculus and Random Matrices, and several demonstrations at Wolfram Demonstrations Project that can be used for formative assessment. Team member of, and contributor author to, T.I.M.E.S. European project MathCom Complements in Mathematics for Master Students (from 2010 until 2012), scientific advisor at IEEE-IST Academic (from 2011 until 2016), where she authors videos on Linear Algebra and Vector Calculus with thousands of visualisations, Portuguese Coordinator of FostWom, Fostering Women to STEM MOOCs (2019-2022) and MathICs, Strengthening Mathematics Education by the use of ICTs in Morocco (2021-2022) Erasmus+ projects. From 2016, Ana is the MOOC Técnico (mooc.tecnico.ulisboa.pt) coordinator and the author and co-author of three MOOCs: Markov Matrices (2016), Eigenvalues (2017), Machine Learning, Maths & Ethics (2021) with several editions and thousands of participants.
